Aloe Vera is truly a staple for any houseplant collection - they’re super easy to care for and have a classic and elegant appearance, with thick, fleshy leaves in a mottled blue-green hue, with serrated edges. They’re also super functional, having been used medicinally for over 6000 years! It is known sometimes as the ‘First Aid Plant’ thanks to the soothing, antioxidant and antibacterial properties of its sap. Native to the Arabian Peninsula, this desert-dwellers thrives when mostly left alone, making them perfect for the slightly absent busy-bee!

🌞 A bright spot is essential for this succulent to flourish. It can cope with a couple hours of direct sun, but can experience sun-burn if exposed to direct sun for too long.

💧 These succulents are drought-tolerant, storing water in their leaves, and should only be watered approximately every 3 weeks in summer, and less so in winter, allowing the soil to dry completely before watering again. Avoid watering when the soil is still moist, and ensure it doesn’t sit in water.
