SHOP ASSOCIATE Part-Time

Plant Shop Manchester is seeking a creative, organised, and friendly individual to fill the role of Shop Associate.

Ideally, we are looking for someone local to Stockport!

If you are enthusiastic about plants and Stockport’s small business community, then you will be a great match for our team. We are looking for someone with retail experience; main duties will include providing excellent customer service, operating a till, opening and closing the shop, packing deliveries, and everyday cleaning. Creative experience or interest is encouraged in our small team, as we take content pictures or write blogs during quiet periods.

Offering standard living wage, with regular employee appraisals and training. One - two shifts per week - we are looking for a candidate who is available throughout the week, especially weekends. This role would be perfect for a freelancer with a flexible timetable who is looking for some extra work.

Duties

• Provide excellent customer service with a friendly attitude.

• Provide guidance and advice on plant care to our customers.

• Organise and and sort stock deliveries.

• Update stock on our website and pack online deliveries.

• General shop cleaning and tidying, ability to follow daily cleaning duties.

Criteria

• An extensive knowledge of plants.

• Minimum one year retail and/or customer service experience.

• Ability to work both independently & with a team.

• Flexible availability & local to Stockport.
