HousePlant Repotting service

Here at Plant Shop, we understand that repotting your plants can be stressful and time-consuming, so our team are here to help!

We offer an in-store repotting service for houseplants of many sizes. Have an out of control Monstera? Our plant experts specialise in potting up these plants when they’ve matured and need that added support from a moss-pole. For all plants, we use a high quality potting mix, providing your plant with fresh nutrients, untangled roots, and the space to produce new growth!

Read more below about our standard repotting service!

What you get:

  • A repotting consultation. Over email, we’ll prep everything we need for your repotting & arrange a drop-off time slot.

  • Refreshed soil. We replace the old soil with our in-house Houseplant Potting Mix. Specialist soil may be used where appropriate.

  • A new nursery pot. We repot directly into a new plastic pot with good drainage, typically a few centimeters bigger than your plant’s current pot.

  • Pruning Service. We remove any dead roots or leaves to promote new, healthy growth.

  • (When necessary + an additional charge) a Moss Pole. We can add a moss pole to add support to your plant (recommended for Monstera).

Want the ultimate repotting experience?

We also offer an Ultimate Repotting Service, where we will collect & deliver up to 3 of your houseplants for a stress-free, set price.

Disclaimer

Plants are living things that can change in appearance, growth, and health when they experience change. At Plant Shop, our experts do their very best to provide your plants with the appropriate care in our shop, and handle them gently through this transition. Especially for mature plants, repotting is a hands-on task that can lead to the loss of delicate leaves and roots. After repotting, you may notice changes in your plant as it adjusts to it’s new environment, including leaf loss or discolouring. Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee your plant won’t experience shock after repotting. This is completely normal for all houseplants after their roots have been handled, but they will start to bounce back with new growth after they’ve had time to adjust.

We ask all our customers to understand that we are not responsible for the condition of your plant before, during, or after the repotting service, but we can assure you we’ll take the correct precautions to look after your plant. If we noticed your plant appeared overwatered, underwatered, or was showing signs of rot when it was dropped off, we will let you know. PLEASE NOTE, we will not accept plants that have pests, disease, or are in poor health. This is so we can ensure the other plants in the shop do not get contaminated.
